Art Direction

Photography is a key element in communicating our ‘Go Brave’ proposition. Whether we are showcasing a guided temple tour, delicious street food or one of our amazing events; we aim to portray authentic moments and memorable experiences seen through the eyes of our guests.

Art Direction Principles

Our brand behaviours inspire everything, we do including our art direction style.

Our Key Messaging

TRY NEW THINGS

Imagery should feel natural, reportage and not staged. It should feel like a captured moment, that others might have missed.

STEP OUT OF YOUR
COMFORT ZONE

Our photography should show off the things that make our locations so special. It should show the real side of our hostels, locations and guests.

CREATE STORIES

Images should feel authentic and intriguing. Inviting audiences to want to know more

EXPRESS YOURSELF

Images should be bold, vibrant and offbeat; capturing the different experiences of a Lub d stay and its surroundings.

Categories

We have three categories of photography.

Brave Moments

Destinations

Property

Brave Moments

Lub d is here to create unforgettable memories. Our destinations are the starting point for incredible stories, so we want to show our guests immersed in the places that they visit, and highlight the experiences they have along the way.

Destinations

Our destinations are at the core of creating memorable experiences. When photographing these iconic destinations we use bold cropped images, focusing on key features. This technique gives a sense of scale and creates curiosity around the featured destination.

Property

When showing our properties, we want to capture the spirit and energy of the Lub d brand, while still showing what is unique about each individual property.

To achieve this we rely on a strong use of colour and vibrancy. Simple and focused compositions on property details capture our locations at their best.
